Barcelona: Amid charges and counter charges by telecom operators over 2G spectrum allocation between 2001 and 2009, Bharti group chairman Sunil Mittal has asked the service providers to exercise restraint and not to make any statement while the probe is on. "Let the investigations go on. There is no point in making statements," Mittal told PTI on the sidelines of Mobile World Congress here. His statement comes in the wake of Anil Ambani group firm Reliance Communications saying that the old GSM operators had caused a revenue loss of over Rs one lakh crore due to cornering of excess GSM spectrum beyond the contracted limit. RCom had alleged that old GSM operators cornered excess spectrum beyond 6.2 Mhz and caused the loss to the government through other fraudulent misrepresentations as well from time to time.
